Information about our review of the Ready to Learn Framework

posted Mar 22, 2017, 3:23 AM by Wallyford Primary

Dear Parents/Carers,

Please find below copy of letter which we have tried to e-mail out from school twice now.  Thank you to those who let us know that you did not receive it.  Having discussed the issue with our IT Department, they have concluded that it was delivered as they have acknowledgement receipts from your network provider however your provider’s server was judging the attachment as spam therefore not delivering to your Junk/Spam or Inbox.

If you would like to send me direct feedback about any of these policies please email admin@wallyford.elcschool.org.uk

Information on our current policy is available on this link https://sites.google.com/a/edubuzz.org/wallyford-primary-staff-website/ready-to-learn-policy

Dear Families,

Recently parents have asked for a review of our Ready to Learn Framework. This framework is how we manage behaviour and readiness for learning.  Parents have asked for more clarification of the policy. We have also had requests to improve communication between school and home when a child has reflection time or needing to meet with the management team.

I am writing to inform you that this review is now under way. In particular we aim to reduce incidents in school and improve communication with parents so they are aware of how incidents have been managed.

In light of this review, we are required to update the following policies that link into our Ready to Learn Framework. These are:

·         Encouraging Positive Behaviour Policy- How we support and encourage all children to be kind and well behaved in school.

·         Home Learning Policy – How we support and encourage families with learning at home.

·         Bullying Policy – How we challenge bullying behaviour in school. How we support children affected by bullying behaviour.

We will be inviting parents to share their views at Parent Consultations next week. We will then send out revised policies in the summer term.

If you would like to send me direct feedback about any of these policies please email admin@wallyford.elcschool.org.uk
