School Meals & Snacks

All pupils can choose between bringing in a packed lunch or  having a school dinner. Each day children have a choice of two hot meals each day.

The current cost of a school lunch is £1.90 but this may change from year to year. Children must ensure they have full payment on the day they wish to purchase a lunch from the kitchen. It helps if any money brought into school is in a purse/wallet with his or her name and class written inside. Children who have forgotten their lunch money will be issued with an Unpaid Lunch Money Form. The school expect full payment to be made by return. Any unpaid lunch money will be notified to our Finance Department.

If your child has a special dietary requirement either medical or cultural, please contact us directly for more information.

If you receive income support or income based job seekers allowance (and, in some cases, child tax credit or working families tax credit) you may be entitled to school clothing grants and free school meals.

East Lothian Council can provide free school meals to ensure that children receive a free, balanced and healthy meal during the school day.

This service is delivered discreetly so that it is not obvious to other children that your child is receiving this benefit.
